Chocolate Crinkle Cookies



Chocolate Crinkle Cookies are a classic Christmas treat with a rich cocoa flavor and a delightful crinkled appearance. These cookies are perfect for holiday gatherings and gifting.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, combine cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and vegetable oil

Mix until well combined

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms

Cover and chill the dough for at least 4 hours or overnight

Preheat the oven to 350F 175C

Line baking sheets with parchment paper

Shape the chilled dough into 1-inch balls

Roll each ball in powdered sugar until fully coated

Place the coated dough balls onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between them

Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies have crinkled and set

Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely

Once cooled, the Chocolate Crinkle Cookies are ready to be enjoyed!
